About Us
Pat Powell Designs began over 15 years ago creating unique and one of a kind beaded jewelry and selling the pieces at various bead and jewelry shows. Many of you showed an interest in some of the unique items that were incorporated in my work so we began to offer the individual components and beads as well. I still do make some jewelry and accessories as I find components that 'speak, in particular, to me' but now find myself spending more time searching out and preparing those special items for your use.
As my interests expanded, I discovered the wonderful craft of kumihimo: Japanese braiding. Kumihimo has become my artistic focus. Braiding requires the use of many strands of fiber and, in addition to the traditional silk, I try to use unusual fibers to create a special look in my braids. I have found many interesting fibers in my quest. Now fibers are an integral part of our available inventory.
As a result of our varied interests, it is possible for us to offer embellishment items for fiber artists, paper and bead artists. We strive to continually add new and interesting items to our inventory for these disciplines. We also now carry books related to fibers.
We don't have a
store front so we can get together with you, personally, only at the shows we attend. Please see our Show Schedule for a current list. Hope to see you soon at one of them.
Thank you.
